My Pledge to You
Recently the incumbent collector announced that she will not be retiring, but instead seeking a 9TH term. This came as a surprise to me as I saw earlier this year, she chose to sue the tax paying voters of Jefferson County, for a higher salary with back pay.
I have never been a politician and I'm not an attorney so I won't comment on the merit of that lawsuit, as I don't believe its my place. However, what I will do is make a pledge to you, the citizens of Jefferson County. My decision to run for Collector was based on my Abilities & Experience in Management & Finance and the Knowledge that I would be the Best Candidate for the job. It was never about the money.
I Pledge to You, whatever the salary was when I started my campaign in March of 2017 is the salary I expect. I would have never joined this lawsuit & never will. If elected, I intend to work hard for you. I will find ways to streamline the office in order to make your experience easier & save the citizens tax dollars.
I will give back to my Community in many ways by acts of service & charity.
Because that's what a public servant should do.
And simply because I feel that would be the right thing to do.
I humbly ask for your vote in 2018.
